My first wedding…

So when I decided I was going to be a family photographer…who does weddings…in January I realised I needed a guinea pig…or at least a very brave couple who would be happy for me to shoot their wedding. 1 hour later, thanks to Twitter, in steps the very lovely Fiona and Paul. Long story short, engagement shoot and a couple of meetings later and we got to their big day, last Friday.

We had big plans for fantastic outdoor pictures, but the massive clap of thunder during the signing of the register signalled the coming torrential rain which came and went all day and lead to the majority of the shots having to be moved indoors. It was a bit of a challenge in terms of the light but a great experience for having to think on your feet and creative problem solving LOL!

It was a great day full of love and fun, exactly how it should be! I’ll leave you with the fantastic feedback I got from Paul and a few pictures.

Paul and Fiona thank you for your trust. I wish you all the love and luck in the world for the future, but I have a feeling you don’t need it xXx

“We have just spent the last two hours looking at the photos over and over again and all we can say is WOW :). You have an absolute talent, you managed to catch the atmosphere of our wedding perfectly and we honestly can’t thank you enough for that. From the start you made us feel so comfortable and there was never any doubt the photos would be anything other than brilliant. But to see them laid out, well, it’s had Fiona in tears. She’s completely over the moon. We will be recommending you to our friends with absolutely no hesitation and we hope you are able to use our wedding photographs in your portfolio. Everyone agrees, you’re an incredible photographer.
Again, thank you so much, from us both and from the bottom of our hearts.” – Paul
