Wedding marketing…step 1

I finished my last post with a question… “How do I connect who I want with what I am?”

So this is what I’ve come up with so far…

  1. Be honest, direct and positive in all my social media interactions. Be they blogging, tweeting or Facebook so that anyone who looks for me can get to know me. Because there is no escaping the fact at as a ‘people’ photographer you are your own USP (unique selling point…check me out trying to use the right terminology…haha).
  2. Invest in some traditional advertising to get my name out there and direct people to my website, so to that end I will be in The Wedding Guide‘s Scottish edition, which will be launched this month. Pick one up or check out the website to get a £100 voucher. I will also be in The Best Scottish Weddings in June.
  3. Contact all the venues and wedding planners in the area and see what comes from that…

How does that sound as a starting point?

All that leaves me to do is to leave you with the designs I’m going with in The Wedding Guide…they’re a bit warmer looking than the engagement shots from Scotland in March. Enjoy 😉
